Association of Friends of the Prison School events
CORFU. Exhibition at the Municipal Art Gallery from 18/12 to 10/1 and a meeting of members and friends of the Association.
The festive season is approaching, and the Friends of the Prison School group is preparing for their events. The first event involves the official presentation of the 2025 calendar at Corfu Municipal Art Gallery, in the Thanos Christou Hall, on Wednesday, December 18, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This will coincide with the opening of the exhibition featuring the artworks that adorn the calendar.
The exhibition will be open daily, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, except Mondays, until Thursday, January 10, 2025.
The creation of the Association’s calendar was made possible thanks to the kind participation and exceptional artworks of the following artists:
Kostas Tompros, Greta Capellemans, Aspasia Sigourakou,Natasa Maneta, Petros Stravoravdis, Nikos Kokalis Aspa Mikalef, Georgia Monastirioti, Dimitris Miliotis, Tina Haviara Metallinou, Pinelopi Voltera, the students of the Prison School, who contributed a work of their own.
"We warmly invite everyone to honour this exhibition and the collaborating artists, whom we deeply thank for their generosity and sensitivity in contributing their work.
The next event is the annual gathering of the members and friends of our Association and the Corfu Prison School. As in previous years, it will take place at the welcoming EPIC Bar in Mantouki on Friday, December 20, at 6:30 pm.
During this celebration, we will collect small gifts for the incarcerated students and phone cards (for OTE payphones) to help them stay in touch with their families.
We also encourage friends who can to bring some food items, savoury or sweet, to accompany the drinks provided by EPIC.
