The president of Corfu Town Local Community, Giorgos Mourmouris, proceeded with the cleaning of drains and streams. In an effort to maintain cleanliness, it is important to carry out regular cleanings.

The maintenance and cleaning of drains and streams are necessary to prevent flooding and other issues that affect the environment and people's health. In these areas, perishable materials had accumulated over time, resulting in flooding during heavy rainfall.

These interventions took place in Alykes, Potamos, near the Yamaha dealership, as well as in the area of Agia Ekaterini, in Profi, and next to the Debono hotel.
