CORFU. Staff members of the Solomou facility provided first aid until he lost consciousness.

Investigating the circumstances of the death of 65-year-old man in Spilia. One account comes from the Municipality, specifically according to the testimony of the staff at the facility on Solomou Street.

According to this account, they were notified after 2 p.m. on Monday and rushed to the scene, where they remained until around 5 p.m., providing first aid and conducting on-site examinations (e.g., oxygen saturation, blood pressure, etc.) on the 65-year-old man. They also notified the Municipality's Social Services. They even called an ambulance, initially facing the man's resistance to get in. Shortly afterward, the unfortunate man lost consciousness.

The people from the Ambulance Service (EKAB) say that the ambulance rushed to the scene after a call was made to the regional centre in Ioannina, but when they arrived, the man was already dead, and they then departed. EKAB also notified the Police (after 5:15 p.m., according to the relevant report), and when the police arrived, the man's lifeless body was still at the scene.

Subsequently, the funeral home was called by the 65-year-old's relatives, who had been located and notified in the meantime, and they took his body between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Our condolences to those who knew him.
