7th Junior High School excels at National Artistic Competition
CORFU. 650 pupils, from 52 schools in Greece and the Greek Diaspora participated in the competition.
The 10th National School Artistic Competition took place at Mantoulidis School in Thessaloniki, 7-9 March. 650 pupils, from 52 schools in Greece and the Greek Diaspora participated in the competition. Corfu 7th Junior High School choir also took part, conducted by Smaragda Papatsakona.
The choir took part in the Music category with an excellent repertoire of five songs, Greek and foreign. The choir won the second place award, impressing both the audience and the judging panel.
The school took the opportunity of the visit to Thessaloniki to organise educational visits for the pupils from seven voluntary cultural associations. They visited Vergina and its museum, went to a performance at Northern Greece State Theatre, visited the NOISIS Technology Centre as well as other sites in the city.
