"Currently, there is a downward trend in fuel prices in general due to the decrease in international prices," Mr. Sakkos said. "We hope that prices will remain stable so that people can place their orders.
"However, orders are currently moving sluggishly, as the weather conditions are not yet bad enough for households to fill their tanks. For those who have placed orders, the quantities do not exceed 200-300 litres, both due to the general economic downturn and the high cost that has burdened households, making purchase of larger quantities prohibitive.
"For now, orders are minimal to non-existent. After St. Spyridon's Day, a significant demand for oil is expected ahead of the festive season. Currently, those who place orders do not spend more than 300-400 Euros. Consumers need to be cautious when they find fuel at very low prices. That's why we recommend an average price to consumers," he said.
