Angela Gerekou at Ionian Islands Regional Film Office
CORFU. She stressed that at the moment Greece has managed to be one of the top choices as a film location.
The President of the National Tourist Organisation Angela Gerekou visited the Ionian Islands Regional Film Office, in the presence of the Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa, the Deputy Regional Governor Manolis Orphanoudakis, candidates of her party and the staff of the film productions office.
Angela Gerekou spoke about the first plans she had made as Deputy Minister of Culture to make Corfu an attractive film destination, which were however realised several years later.
She stressed that at the moment Greece has managed to be one of the top choices as a film location and urged the officials of the Regional Authority to increase their actions by creating a digital map with all the locations in Corfu that are suitable for filming in order to further promote the destination in cooperation with the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
