Movement restrictions on Monday 31 July due to high fire risk

CORFU. Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu, Kostas Zorbas, announced that, due to the very high fire risk (Category 4) in Corfu, as defined by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, on Monday, 31/7, from 08:00 until sunrise on Tuesday, 01/8 movement of people and vehicles is prohibited in the following areas:
- Issos Cedar Forest (Ammothines Korission), Agios Matthaios forest, Arkoudila and Theofylaktos in Pavliana Community in the Municipality of South Corfu.
- Mon Repos, Lazaretto Island, Vidos Island, Pontikonisi Island, Kompitsi, Agii Deka, Stavros and Agios Panteleimonas in Kato Garouna in the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontian Islands.
- Porto Timoni in the Municipality of North Corfu.
- Erimite, Panagia Islands, Agios Nikolaos, and Antipaxos in the Municipality of Paxos.
The implementation of this decision is assigned to Corfu Coast Guard of Corfu, Corfu Fire Department, Corfu Central Port Authority and Corfu Forestry Department.
