CORFU. The decision of the Administrative Court of Appeal, to which the teacher appealed, became known on Friday 7 April, after the final evaluation lists were posted.
While the process of selecting the new school principals is about to be completed, a decision of the Ioannina Administrative Court of Appeal has caused a stir, as it calls for the suspension of the final evaluation list for the selection of school principals for the Corfu junior high and high schools.
In addition, according to the decision, a teacher should be immediately called for an interview as they did not go through this stage. In the meantime, the candidate principals have started stating their school preference on the Ministry of Education's online platform.
However, as the Ionian Islands Regional Director of Education Petros Aggelopoulos told Enimerosi, the process for all candidate principals continues as normal. The online platform opened on Monday morning for teachers to state their preferences for the schools they are interested in and it closes on Tuesday 11 at 23:59. Their choices will be considered and based on points their placement will be made," he said.
According to reliable information, the teacher in question was called for an interview while she was on statutory leave. The same sources said that although she took all the necessary steps in time to get a new interview date set, she was eventually left out of the process, and as a result, she was not included in the final evaluation list.
