African dust in the Corfu atmosphere today

CORFU. Due to the low clouds and southerly winds.
The atmosphere in Corfu was hazy earlier today. Due to the low-lying clouds and the strong southerly winds African dust was brought to the Northern Ionian leading to low visibility.
According to Corfu Meteorological Station, the rain expected later today will help clear the atmosphere.
The low visibility obviously doesn't affect Corfu Airport as there are no flights at the moment in order for work on the runway to be carried out by Fraport.
With regard to the ferry services only covered ferry boats are sailing between Corfu and Igoumenitsa. Open-air ferry boats have been prohibited from sailing from Corfu and Lefkimmi due to the Force 7 SSW winds.
The weather is expected to be changeable tomorrow with occasional rainfall and strong southerly winds.
