Crazed man, 27, threatens mini-market owner in Sotiriotissa

CORFU. The man shouted threats at the owner before taking off his clothes.
A 27-year-old man went into a mini-market in Sotiriotissa yesterday evening and started threatening the owner.
According to the owner, he was obviously unbalanced and started shouting crazed threats and throwing goods outside. Terrified, she locked herself in the toilet and called the police.
The young man wore only a pair of Bermuda shorts, which he took off and was completely naked until he covered himself with a blanket. He threw goods off the shelves and then went outside and starting walking in the middle of the road.
Police came quickly on motorbikes and in patrol cars and were able to restrain the man.
He was then taken to the police station and kept under guard. This morning he was taken to Corfu hospital Psychiatric Clinic.
