Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris said: "The new vehicles which we have acquired thanks to funding from the 'Philodimos II' Programme, completely disproving the various naysayers, will contribute significantly to the Municipality's plan for integrated waste management. Right from the beginning, the North Corfu local authority has made waste management a priority so that residents will not have to again live through the nightmare of 2018-19 with tons of rubbish. It is widely accepted that North Corfu has entered a new phase with regard to waste management. The new refuse trucks will upgrade and modernise the Municipality's cleaning services and provide a better and more efficient service for the public."
