CORFU. The start of the Vidos shuttle service with the municipal boat has been postponed for the second time.
The postponement has provoked negative reactions and comments talking about lack of responsibility in adhering to published dates.
It was originally announced that the service would begin on 15 May. When this didn't happen, a sign was put up announcing the new date of 20 May.

The muncipal councillor responsible for Vidos Island Spyros Neratzis told Enimerosi that the skipper has said that the delay was due to carpentry work that hadn't been completed. The same explanation has been given by the skipper for the second delay - with the new starting date being given as 28 May (without a sign being put up this time).
"Given that maintenance of the boat is included in the contractor's responsibilities, we have asked him to take on the cost of using another boat - at least for the public employees who need to carry out preparatory work on the island ahead of the summer camps in July," said Spyros Neratzis.
