ATHENS. EODY announced 6,252 laboratory confirmed new cases on Tuesday 17 May - including 74 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 6,252 confirmed new cases today. The total number of cases in Greece is now 3,401,927, of which 48.8% are males.
The number of probable reinfections over the last 24 hours is 685 and the total number of reinfections since the beginning of the pandemic is estimated at 130,005 (3.7% of the total number of positive cases).
There were 21 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 29,599. 95.6% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
167 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 71 and 92.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,656 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 105 (+10.53%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 111.
