ATHENS. EODY announced 19,002 laboratory confirmed new cases on Saturday 12 March - including 173 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 19,002 confirmed new cases today. 27 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,623,628, of which 49.3% are males. Over the last 7 days, 214 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,305 are connected with known cases.
There were 39 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 26,513. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
363 patients are intubated in ICUs. 246 (67.77%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 117 (32.23%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 68 and 89.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,348 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 269 (-15.94%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 283.
