Mayor Meropi Ydraiou: Great project in an important area of our island
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou expressed her satisfaction for this positive development and noted that this project is one of the main priorities of the Municipality. As she pointed out, the funding was secured and the current Municipal Authority made every effort to complete all the necessary actions (studies, licensing, approvals, tendering procedure) in order for this project to be contracted.
Mrs. Υdraiou stressed that the Municipal Authority is taking the opportunity to implement the regeneration of the Garitsa Park and pointed out to the project’s contractor the need to carry out the work perfectly, as well as the timetable and the particular care and sensitivity with which they must implement this project. She added that this is an extremely important project in an important area of our island, which the citizens have been waiting for for many years. She also thanked the businesspeople and residents of the area for their cooperation with the Municipality.
She then thanked the Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros, the responsible employees and the Head of the Municipal Department for Greenery for their hard work.
The project’s contractor said that the maximum effort will be made to meet the deadlines, while they asked for the resident’s understanding for any – temporary – inconvenience that may be caused by the work that will be carried out.
