Results of Tourism Department΄s survey on tourist satisfaction

CORFU. A Focus Group was conducted on Thursday 13 November 2021 on a survey regarding the satisfaction of foreign visitors to Corfu in the summer of 2019 as far as the hospitality and attractions of the island are concerned.
Tourism bodies attended the Focus Group. In particular:
- The Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism Alexandros Alexakis
- The Head of the Ionian University Tourism Department Adamantia Pateli
- The President of Western Greece and Ionian Islands Tourist Guides Elisavet Savati
- The President of Corfu Hoteliers' Association Charalambos Voulgaris
- The President of AOCTA (Association of Corfu Travel Agents) Spyros Halikiopoulos
At first, there was a brief presentation of the survey's results by the team members that designed and executed the survey, followed by a discussion and evaluation by the attendees. Their opinions contributed to the interpretation of the results and the preparation of specific and scientifically based proposals, so that there will be opportunities for better development of Corfu tourism.

Amongst the presentation’s positive results are the expression of a strong will of collaboration between private and public bodies, in order to carry out on an annual basis a similar survey regarding the satisfaction of Corfu tourists organised by and under the supervision of the Ionian University’s Tourism Department.
This survey is expected to have multiple benefits for the tourism, local economy and society.
