Greek Hero XTRI and Corfu Old Town Trail in Corfu in October

There will be two special sporting events in Corfu on the weekend of 16-17 October. On Saturday the Greek Hero XTRI extreme triathlon will take place - this is part of the ΧΤRI WORLD TOUR (www.xtriworldtour.com) series and the only one taking place in Greece!



The event is also organised in 18 other locations in the world (Celtman, Canadaman, Norseman Patagonman, Himalayanxtri and others). We are lucky to have the event here in Corfu and top-quality international athletes will be taking part.

The event will set off from the jetty at Mon Repos and participants will swim 4km to the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC) and then cycle along a 180km route, passing through traditional villages and countryside until they reach Kinopiastes. From here they will run along a 40km trail which finishes near Aggelokastro. Www.greekheroxtri.com

The number of participants will be strictly limited and in line with Covid safety protocols.

There will be 14km and 7km routes for running and a 5km route for walking.

Set-off from the Lower Square on Sunday 17 October
16:00 for the walk
17:00 for the 7km and 14km runs

Participants will require a vaccination certificate of a negative rapid test result.

Once the allowed number of participants has been reached, registration will automatically end, even if it is before the 10 October deadline.
