IONIAN ISLANDS. Ionian Islands police are continuing their checks to ensure the Covid-19 measures are being adhered to.
Early on Thursday morning, August 12, a female snack bar owner in Kavos was fined €2,000 for serving standing customers and the business closed for 7 days.
In another case in Zakynthos, on Wednesday, August 11, a foreign national was fined €5,000 for violating home quarantine.
On Wednesday 11 and early on Thursday morning, 17 employees and customers in Corfu and 9 in Zakynthos were fined €300 each for not wearing masks.
Finally, 3 more fines of €300 were issued in Zakynthos for movement violations.
