ATHENS. EODY announced 2,856 laboratory confirmed new cases on Wednesday 4 August - including 39 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,856 confirmed new cases today.9 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 503,885, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days 159 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,646 are connected with known cases.
There were 16 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,013. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
192 patients are intubated in ICUs.The average age is 65 and 82.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,820 patients have been discharged from ICUs
The number of new hospital admissions is 204 (+43.66%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 172.
