South Corfu Mayor

The South Corfu Mayor Kostas Lessis warmly welcomed the news and told Enimerosi: “We, as a municipal authority, had right from the beginning made the removal of the illegally deposited waste bales in Mesorachia a top priority. We are glad that our struggle was vindicated with everyone's contribution. The municipal authority respected the residents’ struggle and would have resigned if this struggle had not been vindicated.

We are glad that the responsible Ministers and the Ionian Islands Regional Governor and President of FODSA Rodi Kratsa have vindicated us and brought our fight to an end”

After two years, our government has given a definitive solution to the problem that has been troubling more than just the citizens of South Corfu.
