Municipality carries out natural plant protection with ladybirds on Corfu Town trees

In order to deal with the problem caused by the secretion of honey substances by sucking insects that are found in almost all of the trees in Corfu Town, Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Green Conservation Department has started placing ladybirds to protect them in a natural way.

From this morning the ladybirds are being placed in central locations in town such as Evg. Voulgareos pedestrian precinct, San Rocco Square, Liston and the Upper Square. These destroy the sucking insects without any chemicals having to be used.
