4 women receive awards for their efforts in the fight against the pandemic

On the occasion of International Women's Day Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality presented awards to four women involved in the health sector during the pandemic.



The Mayor presented awards to pulmonologists Aggeliki Pandi and Eleftheria Haini who work at the Covid-19 unit at Corfu Hospital and nurse Sofia Nikolouzou who also works at the hospital unit.

An award was also given to the President of the Hellenic Red Cross Corfu branch Maria Dimouli, who will accept it on behalf of all the female volunteers.



San Giacomo Old Town Hall was also symbolically lit up in purple.
