CORFU. Statement from Corfu Trade Association.
Corfu Trade Association reiterated that, "retail shops remaining open on Sunday 31 January will not increase income for small-medium businesses nor help to boost the local economy. On the contrary, it will add to the heavy operating costs of the last few months and doesn't provide protection and safety for public health.
"Unfortunately, these ineffective decisions taken by the Government only serve large department stores and multinational companies and encourage Sunday opening.
"Our Association retains its firm position that Sunday is a day off and that shops should remain closed on Sunday 31 January."
