ATHENS. EODY announced 937 confirmed new cases and 62 deaths on Wednesday 23 December. 4 confirmed new cases in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 937 confirmed new cases today. 5 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 133,365, of which 52.4% are males. 5,267 (3.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 39,198 (29.4%) are connected with known cases.
495 patients - 160 female, 335 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 67 and 78.6% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 832 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 62 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 4,402. 1,776 (40.3%) were females and the average age was 79. 95.5% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
