Driver killed in road accident in Linia

CORFU. According to initial information, the accident was probably due to the slippery road surface.
The van came off the road, overturned and hit a tree. The 51-year-old driver was seriously injured and taken to Lefkimmi Health Centre. Efforts were made to resuscitate him but to no avail.
There was also a passenger in the van who suffered minor injuries and was given first aid at the health centre.
Traffic Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
