126 new cases of COVID-19 in Greece today, including 2 in Corfu
ATHENS. EODY announced 126 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday 10 August, 10 of which were detected at entry points.
24 patients - 6 female, 18 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 63 and 58.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 129 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There was 1 death today, taking the total number of fatalities to 213. 70 (32.9%) were females and the average age was 76. 95.8% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
The 126 new cases are broken down as follows:
10 from checks at entry points
38 in Attica - of which at least half had close contact with a confirmed case or had travelled recently in Greece.
18 in Thessaloniki - of which at least half had close contact with a confirmed case.
26 imported cases, of which 17 were immigrants who had arrived in Mytilene
5 in Larissa
3 in Heraklion
3 in Kastoria
3 in Magnesia
3 in Pellas
3 in Halkidiki - 2 of which were connected with the cluster of cases at the olive oil factory
2 in Dodecannese
2 in Corfu
