CORFU. The tourists got lost in the area between Nymphes and Sfakera and firefighters were needed to locate them and rescue them from the rough area in which they they had become trapped.
On Tuesday afternoon two German tourists lost their way in between Nymphes and Sfakera and became trapped in rough countryside. They called the international emergency number 112 saying that they were lost but not injured.
Firefighters were immediately sent to locate and rescue them using three diections of approach to the area.
Just before 18:00 firefighters spotted the tourists and it is now considered to be just a matter of time before they are rescued.
