Man withdrew over 10,000 Euros using stolen card

CORFU. Police were able to find and arrest the man who had stolen 10,600 Euros using a bank card which had been lost in Corfu on Tuesday 12 May.
Two Greek citizens were charged with theft and receiving and handling criminal proceeds.
Police were able to identify the man who had stolen 10,600 Euros using a bank card which had been lost in Corfu on Tuesday 12 May. According to information available, the accused was able to make several withdrawals using the PIN which the owner had written on the card.
Another person is also involved into whose bank account 4,000 Euros was deposited by the accused man.
In a search of the two men's homes, in the presence of a judicial officer, the sum of 3,195 Euros was found, which was returned to the owner and a mobile phone which was bought using the card.
The charges brought against the two people will be sent to the Corfu Prosecutor.
