Better news from Ioannina about the Corfu patients

IOANNINA. The condition of Mrs. Stasinou in the Infectious Diseases Unit has stabilised, according to today΄s (Tuesday 7th) update. The condition of the first Corfu case, who is in the same Unit, has improved.
1. Two coronavirus patients continue to be hospitalised in the Step Down Unit.
- The first is from Ioannina. He is intubated and has shown improvement.
- The second is an older man from Arta who is in the process of having the tubes removed.
2. Three coronavirus patients continue to be hospitalised in the negative pressure room in the Infectious Diseases Unit.
- The first came from Corfu General Hospital and his condition has improved.
- The second is from Preveza. Until he was admitted to the Unit, had been under observation at home. His condition is stable.
- The third is the widow of the patient from Corfu who died. Her condition has stabilised.
3. The Ioannina University Lab tested 57 new samples yesterday from all the Epirus hospitals. All tested negative.
Corfu General Hospital received the results from 13 of the 17 samples that were sent to the Ioannina University Lab and all tested negative. The remaining results are expected later today.
