CORFU. "We considered it our duty to contribute so that doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel can be properly equipped and stay healthy to carry on their work..." the non-profit organisation said.
The non-profit organisation 'Faros Zois' (Lighthouse of Life) has donated €10,000 to Corfu General Hospital for health equipment.
Statement from the organisation:
"Given the difficult situation and the lack of health equipment at Corfu Hospital, we heard about the initiative of the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality and Corfu Medical Association to collect funds for the necessary items.
We considered it our duty to contribute €10,000 so that doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel - the people on the front line - can be properly equipped and stay healthy to carry on their work.
It is the hope of all of us that the situation can be overcome as quickly and painlessly as possible and we can return to our normal lives.
Stay at Home"
