Accommodation with heating available at Central Corfu Municipal KAPI (Public Centre for Senior Citizens)

CORFU. The accommodation is being made available for homeless people and others in need when there are low temperatures.

The Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality and Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare, Solidarity & Volunteerism Andreas Skoupouras have announced that heated accommodation at the Municipal KAPI will be available when there are low temperatures.

The heated accommodation at KAPI will be available between 20:00 to 08:00.

Announcement:

"We would like to inform the public that the Municipality, as part of its social welfare policy and the safeguarding of public health, is collaborating with the Department for Social Welfare and Education and volunteers from the Corfu branch of the Hellenic Red Cross to provide space with heating at the Municipal KAPI for the temporary accommodation of homeless people and others who may be in need when there are low temperatures.

The heated accommodation at KAPI will be available from 20:00 to 08:00.

The address is Akadimias 3 (next to the Phoenix).

Information on when heated accommodation will be available due to low temperatures will be available to the public on the phoneline 26613 62147 between 08:00 and 14:30.

Information will also be posted at the following Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipal locations:

1. Centre for Daily Care for the Homeless at Solomou 11

2. Municipal Community Shop & Kitchen at Mitr. Methodiou & Kolokotroni 3

3. Community Centre in St. Desylla St. next to the Municipal Theatre.

4. KAPI (Public Centre for Senior Citizens) at Akadimias 3."
