CORFU. Corfu ΄Old΄ Philharmonic Society will be putting on a concert on Saturday 30 November.

The distinguished percussionist Gerasimos Tsagarakis will be performing as soloist and Spyros Prosoparis will be conducting.
The concert includes works inspired by Greek mythology such as the Overture from 'La Belle Hélène' by Jacques Offenbach, the symphonic fanfare 'Alcinous, King of the Phaeacians' by Spyros Prosoparis and the slow march 'Orion' by Jan Van der Roost.
There will also be a performance of the demanding work 'Prometheus' by Sean Beeson with soloist Gerasimos Tsagarakis. The concert will conclude with the 'Odyssey' symphony in four parts by Robert w. Smith.
