CORFU. A 35-year-old foreign national, who pretended to be a company representative and got €9.900 out of four businesspeople last summer, has been arrested.
The foreign national was arrested for forgery and fraud. According to the Ionian Islands Regional Police, the 35-year-old pretended to be a company representative and was able to deceive businesspeople into giving him money.
Under the false pretence that his business was setting up in Corfu he managed to obtain 'investments' totalling 9.900 Euros from four different people in June and July.
The charges have been forwarded to the Corfu Prosecutor.
