CORFU. Open ferry boats have been prohibited from sailing due to the downpours and strong winds in the Ionian Sea.
The prohibition has been in force since 09:30 for ferry services between Corfu and Igoumenitsa and Lefkimmi and Igoumenitsa.
The Central Port Authority has said that weather conditions will be monitored regularly and from this afternoon we will know whether or not the prohibition will be lifted.
Closed ferry boats are operating normally.
