Street library ΄Book Stage΄ in Arkadades

A great effort from a small village - it created its own library! An initiative to encourage people, especially children, to read. A library where you can exchange books for free and avoid putting them in the bin or even recycling them! Whoever wants can send the books they no longer want to the Cultural Society to be added to the library.

The Society said: "Our library was set up as part of the campaign to Reuse! The door is a renovation of an old one and the shelves are made of old cypress wood. The books were collected from all those who want to take part in this initiative set up by a few volunteers.

The library will be open all day and one shelf will be empty for you to leave books you no longer want - anyone can take a book and leave one they don't want. We accept all types of book - fiction, politics, children's books, educational, historical etc. and even foreign language books! Books you no longer want may be wanted by someone else so don't throw them away, bring them here!"
