Hotel employee charged with rape of under-age tourist girl

CORFU. The incident occurred early on Wednesday morning at a hotel in the Kato Korakiana area where the 14-year-old girl and her family are on holiday.
The 32-year-old hotel employee, who has confessed to the crime, persuaded the 14-year-old girl to go to his room. Shortly afterwards the girl reported that she had been raped.
Police came immediately and it was a simple matter to identify the attacker when she described him and said he was an employee at the hotel. He gave himself up and confessed to the crime.
He was charged and will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
