Corfu Port Authority donates electric bike to Regional Special Needs Association

CORFU. The Regional Special Needs Association now has the latest technology equipment to convert a manually-powered wheelchair to electrically-powered.
The equipment, donated by Corfu Port Authority, can be easily installed on any wheelchair allowing it to be powered electrically. It can move forwards, backwards and turn for several kilometres.
Corfu Port Authority President Spyros Stefanidis presented the gift on Monday and according to the President of the Regional Special Needs Association Andreas Skoupouras, the electric bike is the first and will be followed by another two with greater capacity which will be able to cover greater distances.
Corfu is the second place in Greece to provide this facility for wheelchair users.
