Mobile Digital Planetarium returning to Corfu

CORFU. Corfu Municipality is organising 4 days of "Astronomy Events with screenings in the Mobile Digital Planetarium and telescope observations".
Children and adults alike are invited to come and observe the starry sky in a unique audiovisual experience.
The Planetarium On The Go (the only one in Greece), a mobile construction with a fixed dome and seating for the public, travels throughout Greece offering the public an exciting journey through the vast space by means of the projection of a digital show on a hemispherical screen in a full dome (360ο).
Along with the projections there will be observations through a telescope of the sun during the day and the starry sky at night if weather conditions allow it.
There will be four days of events in different parts of Corfu from Monday 18th to Thursday 21st March. The Planetarium On The Go will be set up in a different location each day to allow greater access to pupils and members of the public.
Monday 18th: Acharavi Secondary School
Tuesday 19th: Agios Markos - outside the church
Wednesday 20th: Argyrades - outside the church
Thursday 21st: Upper Square in Corfu Town
Afternoon and evening programme of film screenings for the general public:
15:00 - "Kaluoka'hina, The Enchanted Reef"
15:40 - "Kaluoka'hina, The Enchanted Reef"
16:20 - "Stepping On Other Planets"
16:50 - "The Sun, Our Living Star"
17:20 - "From Earth to the Universe"
18:00 - "Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter"
18:30 - 'The Earth's Climate"
Admission free.
Planetarium capacity: The Planetarium has 38 seats and can accommodate 45 people - the extra 7 sitting on cushions.
There is accessibility for those with special needs.
Morning Programme bookings: Schools can book by phoning 26613 62147 (Office of the Deputy Mayor for Social Policy) 10:00 - 14:00 giving the numbers and time requested.
