Reassurances from Deputy Regional Governor regarding the suspicious package at the Post Office

CORFU. Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu Nikoletta Pandi announced that the people who were in the Post Office this morning had no worrying symptoms.
Seven members of the public who were in the Post Office were taken to a closed room and examined by a doctor who found that there was no reason for them to be hospitalised or put in quarantine. Six members of staff were taken by ambulance to Corfu Hospital for examination and they also had no worrying symptoms.
Ms Pandi said that the suspicious package will be taken to Athens by the Special Disaster Response Unit (EMAK) for the contents to be examined. The Post Office will be disinfected and will remain closed to the public on Friday.
