The Art of Uzbekistan Carpets and Textiles at the Museum of Asian Art



The new permanent exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art ‘The Art of Central Asia’. The exhibits have been donated by Yiannis Sartzetakis and Ruth Dayton and include woven textiles, knitted textiles, clothing and jewels from 19^th century Central Asia.

Gastouri Philharmonic Society: Special event with cutting of New Year's cake



The event will take place at 19:00 at the Society's premises and will include a performance from the student band conducted by Pavlos Kontos.

There will also be an awards ceremony for Gastouri pupils who have qualified this year for university or college.

Pelekas Cultural Society will be singing traditional Epiphany Carols, starting from the village square at 17:00.

The ceremony to Bless the Waters and the retrieval of the Holy Cross from the sea will take place at Ipsos harbour at 11:30 following the church service.


Epiphany at Petriti harbour



09:00 - Epiphany Service at Church of Kimisis Theotokou, Korakades
11:30 - Blessing of the Waters and retrieval of the Holy Cross from the sea at Petriti harbour
Petriti Choir will sing carols and there will then be a buffet

Local villagers are kindly requested to bring contributions to the buffet.


Kinopiastes Philharmonic Society: Celebratory concert and cutting of New Year's cake
