Visitors enjoyed their guided tour of the radar station at Agii Deka

CORFU. There was a good turnout on Sunday 11th for the Open Day at the radar station in Agii Deka.
The event was held for International Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Day.
Dozens of members of the public took advantage of the lovely day to enjoy the wonderful view from Agii Deka along with the guided tour of the radar station.
The Corfu Civil Aviation Authority Personnel Association issued the following statement: "It was a great pleasure for the Civil Aviation Authority personnel to welcome families with adults and young children to the station to learn about how the cutting-edge technology here operates.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and commended the Association on its initiative to open its doors to the public so that they could familiarise themselves with our work. We were delighted with the interest shown, the questions asked about the operation of the aeronautical system and the expressions on the children's faces as they were able to see everything at close-hand.
Following this, we are convinced that the public will want to attend other similar events in the future - we consider it our duty to give children the opportunity to broaden their horizons."
