CORFU. A simple announcement was made to say that Spyros Kaloudis will be replacing Spyros Aspiotis.
Three months ago the Deputy Mayor for Cleansing Services submitted his resignation in a scathing letter which also contained self-criticism. The resignation remained 'hanging' for a few days until he was persuaded to continue.
The crisis in July was a forewarning, it seems, of Spyros Aspiotis' final departure from the department and the nightmare situation with the Cleansing Services in Corfu.
Announcement from Corfu Municipality
Following a decision by the Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos, the Councillor from the majority party Spyros Kaloudis will take over as Deputy Mayor for Cleansing Services. Mr. Kaloudis will remain Deputy Mayor for North Corfu - the districts of Agios Georgios and Esperion.
Councillor Spyros Aspiotis will remain as Deputy Mayor for Urban Green Services.
