4th Ionian Children΄s Choir Festival in Lefkada delights everyone

LEFKADA.Five children΄s choirs from Zakynthos, Corfu, Cephalonia, Paxos and Lefkada - a total of 200 children.
The Ionian Children's Choir Festival was organized by the Ionian Islands Region for the fourth year running.
Five children's choirs from Zakynthos, Corfu, Cephalonia, Paxos and Lefkada - a total of 200 children - provided a delightful and unique musical evening for everyone there.
Lefkada Children's Choir
"The melodious voices of the choirs brought the whole Ionian region together in one evening," said the Regional Governor Theodoros Galiatsatos. "They amazed the audience with their professional performances, accompanied by their orchestras and directed by their conductors, touching us all with songs by well-known artists from the Ionian Islands and the rest of Greece. We commend all the efforts and guarantee that we will continue to warmly support the Ionian Children's Choir Festival, which has become an established event in our region."
Paxos Children's Choir
For the finale all the choirs came together to sing and, encouraged by the conductor, the whole audience joined in.
The following choirs took part in the 4th Ionian Children's Choir Festival:
- Zakynthos Children's Choir
- Corfu Children's Choir
- Cephalonia Municipal Children's Choir
- Patras Cultural Society Children's Choir
- Lefkada Musical & Literature Group Children's Choir 'Orpheus 1937'
The Festival is organized every year by the Ionian Islands Regional Administration on different island. This year it took place in Lefkada on Saturday 13 October and next year it will take place in Cephalonia.
