Free Programme of Bone Density Measurement



The Municipality of Corfu and the National Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities - Health Promotion are organizing a free programme of bone measurement with ultrasound from 19 to 26 September as part of the programme for the prevention and early detection of osteoporosis.

The measurements will take place on the ground level of the Old Town Hall (San Giacomo) 09:00 - 14:00.

"5" Sculpture Exhibition in the People's Garden



Works from the exhibition of sculpture "5" which was held in the Art Hall 26/6 - 31/7 will remain on display in the People΄s Garden.

At the end of the exhibition the artists decided to leave their outdoor works on display in the Garden for residents and visitors to enjoy. They will remain there until the end of October.


Exhibition 'The World of CERN' in the Municipal Theatre Foyer



On display will be experiments that have taken place at CERN and research into Elementary Particle Physics with photos, posters and short videos.

Short presentations and guided tours are planned for the duration of the exhibition.

Admission free.

The Art of Uzbekistan Carpets and Textiles at the Museum of Asian Art



The new permanent exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art ‘The Art of Central Asia’. The exhibits have been donated by Yiannis Sartzetakis and Ruth Dayton and include woven textiles, knitted textiles, clothing and jewels from 19^th century Central Asia.

Some of the most beautiful gardens in Corfu will be open to the public from 09:00 to 14:00.

This is the first event of its kind in Corfu. Come and share garden experiences and get new ideas for the design and cultivation of your garden whilst making new friends!

Dimitris Kontos, who is a fruit tree expert, will be at the San Stefanos Hotel in Benitses to answer visitors' gardening questions.
