Exhibition 'The World of CERN' in the Municipal Theatre Foyer



On display will be experiments that have taken place at CERN and research into Elementary Particle Physics with photos, posters and short videos.

On the opening day researchers from international and Greek universities and research centres will give guided tours to the public.

Short presentations and guided tours are also being planned for the duration of the exhibition.

Admission free.

Auditions for Anemomylos Children's Choir



Anemomylos ΄Thomas Flaginis΄ Choir will be holding auditions for children aged 6 to 15 for the Children΄s Choir. No previous choir experience is required.

'Mediterranea Mente' exhibition at the Old Fortress Flour Stores



΄Mediterranea Mente - reminiscences of an Italian artist on the Phaeacian Island΄ by Beppe Labianca is being held in the St. George Flour Stores in the Old Fortress and will run until 9 September.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 30th December and aims to give the public the opportunity to learn more about the charismatic Ioannis Capodistrias and to show the influence of his work on modern-day society.

The Art of Uzbekistan Carpets and Textiles at the Museum of Asian Art



The new permanent exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art ‘The Art of Central Asia’. The exhibits have been donated by Yiannis Sartzetakis and Ruth Dayton and include woven textiles, knitted textiles, clothing and jewels from 19^th century Central Asia.



The 3rd Albania - Corfu channel swim will be taking place on Saturday 8 September. All proceeds will go to The Smile of the Child.

There will be 57 swimmers taking part in the swim including the world champion long distance and ice swimmer Haris Theodosis.

A traditional fair is being organized on Saturday 8 September at the Church of Panayia ton Dromon (Virgin Mary of the Roads).

There will be lamb, souvlaki and drinks.

All proceeds will go towards the repair of the monastery.
