CORFU. Corfu Old Town Hall was filled with the sound of angelic children΄s voices this morning.
The Corfu Mayor praised the Choir for winning the highest award at Vienna Summa Cum Laude Festival. He met with the choir at the Old Town Hall on Friday morning and the children were overjoyed and proud to receive a special presentation for their wonderful performance under the guidance of conductor Christina Kalliaridou.

The award was received by Corfu Choir President Takis Metallinos, who thanked the Mayor for his continued support. "In any case," he said, "the choir is a child of Corfu."

"I would like to congratulate Corfu Children's Choir for their award of distinction. The award is an honour for the whole of Coru," said the Mayor.
The Children's Choir showed at this demanding competition that Corfu is at the highest level amongst international choirs. This success came as a result of a focussed and diligent effort from a group of children and others who, with their vision, will and sensitivity delighted music-lovers in Europe!"
