CORFU. There has been concern about the second death within two weeks connected to psychotropic substances. The first case concerns the 40-year-old man who was found unconscious in his car in Spilia on 30th March.

Two weeks later on the evening of Saturday 14th April the body of a 45-year-old woman was found, once again by chance, in front of the OKANA building – the old psychiatric hospital.

The unfortunate woman was found lying in blood, which police sources say makes them think she fell from the first floor of the building, where the organization’s clinic is located. The fact that one of her shoes was found quite a distance from her body raises questions about how she ended up there.

The answers are expected from Monday’s autopsy which will not only reveal the cause of death but also the time, as the police think there is a gap between the time of death and when her body was found - the location was hidden from view and the facility was closed for the weekend. It was an observant local resident who called the police.

The 45-year-old woman had been on a rehabilitation programme, but it seems it hadn’t been successful.
