Scouts collecting goods for those in need

The scouts are collecting goods today outside supermarkets for those in need and are asking "those who can" to contribute whatever they can from the following:

Packaged long life goods such as milk, rice, pasta, pulses, oil, tinned goods, coffee/tea, sugar, flour, cereals, breads, sweets, concentrated tomatoes etc as well as basic necessities such as paper goods, personal care items, detergents etc.

If, while you are shopping, a smiling cub, scout or guide comes up to you and says "Become a scout for a day" and you are able to contribute something, then the very next day these items go to food banks, community shops, social organizations, impoverished families and children or elderly people in need.

The Scouting Hall will also be open today until 8pm to collect donations. Each year around 2 - 3 tons of foodstuffs are collected which cover real needs.
