For the 6th successive year Corfu, along with puppet lovers young and old all over the world, will be celebrating World Puppetry Day.

Walk in the countryside learning about herbs



Arkadades Cultural Society is organizing a walk on Sunday to learn about the local herbs.

09:30 - 12:30

On the walk herbalist Eleni Christoforatou will talk about how to use herbs in your everyday diet as well as their therapeutic uses. After the walk, participants will be sent e-mails with notes, photos of the herbs and recipes.

There will also be snacks at the end of the walk and representatives of Faros Zois (Lighthouse of Life) will make a presentation on their activities. Those who wish can register as voluntary bone marrow donors.

'Corfu Runners' Sports and Cultural Society: 'Corfu Path' mountain run



‘Corfu Runners’ Sports & Cultural Society is organizing the 2nd CORFU PATH village 24 km and 2nd CORFU PATH short 8 km runs on Sunday 18th March.

Start / Finish: Kinopiastes
 
Route: Kinopiastes – Platanos -  Agia Kyriaki – Benitses - Stavros (Loukata) - Stavros (Komianata) – Strongili – Ano Garounas – Agii Deka Monastery – Agii Deka – Kinopiastes
 
3 fully equipped supply points. Athletes will be monitored throughout the run.
 
Anyone aged 18 and over can participate in the 24km run.
For the 8km run participants must be 15 years old and over and submit a form signed by their parents giving permission.
 
All athletes run at their own risk and discharge the organizers and any other person from responsibility for any injury, loss or damage.

Awards
Cups and medals will be awarded to the first three male and female athletes in the 24km run.

Α) M18/W18 (18-30 years old)
 Β) Μ30/W30 (31-40 years old)

To be considered valid, an age-group must have at least 3 athletes in the men’s as well as the women’s group (age groups apply only in the 24km run).
