KOZANI. “There’s still a long way to go,” Deputy Mayor for Finance, Georgios Pantelios, said following his meeting in Kozani with the Managing Director of DIAYMA A.E. to discuss Corfu Municipality’s verbal proposal to transfer the waste bales from Temploni.
“We had a detailed discussion about the official framework governing such a possibility – the National and Regional Strategy for Waste Management.”
Georgios Pantelios told Enimerosi, “What we need to do is to present our problem to the relevant ministries and if there is a ministerial decision and an amendment, we can put our proposal to the Kozani Municipal Company.”
The Managing Director, Dimitris Mavridis, didn’t reject the proposal but neither did he make any promises. “If we get the consent of the central government, then the proposal will be put to the general assembly of shareholders.”
